Highlights: Joined AANS on 31 Jul 1915, after completing her nurse training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 1913. Ruby sailed to Egypt where she worked at 27th General Hospital (British) Abbassia (near the northern entrance to the Suez Canal), until sailing to India in July 1916. Posted to Station Hospital Mhow, India where she served sailing for England and arriving on 15 Jan 1917. Posted to 1 AGH and seconded to numerous other hospitals (Australian & British) until she joined 3 AGH at Abbeville, France on 23 Dec 1917. Returned to England in April 1919 and took leave to undertake a Cookery Course in Bristol from 5 May 1919 to 19 Jul 1919. Returned to Australia as Nursing Staff on SS Berima arriving on 8 Nov 1919 and was discharged on 7 Jan 1920. Does not appear to have married, living in England in 1954.
