The posted to HQ Canberra on 15 July 1942, before moving to HQ RAAF BASE Point Cook on 27 May 1944. Posted to RAAF Base Townsville on 9 Jul 1945 where she remained until her discharge on 14 Dec 1945. Elizabeth never married and in 1999 was living in Darling Point Sydney.
