Highlights: Honora was born in 1910 and lived with her parents in the Golspie / Taralga area before undertaking her nurse training . When she joined AANS on 1 Feb 1943, at the age of 32. Honora was sent to 113 AGH (Concord) for duty, before being sent to 2 Aust Ambulance Train on 8 Apr 1944. She worked at 12 Camp Hosp (Moore Park / Sydney Showgrounds) in between train Ambulance journeys. Posted to 3 Aust Ambulance Train on 14 Jul 1944, but continued to work at 12 Camp Hospital as before, until she was formally posted to the staff of 12 Camp Hospital on 14 Apr 1946. Honora was then posted to 113 Mil Hosp Concord on 6 Sep 1946 where she worked until she sailed for Kure, Japan on 11 Sep 1947, on transfer to the Interim Army with the rank of Lieutenant. In Japan she served with 130 AGH until 10 Mar 1949 when she moved to BCOF Hospital. On 20 Apr 1952 was promoted to Captain. On 13 Nov 1952, Honora returned to Australia and her appointment was terminated on 28 Nov 1952
