Highlights: Enlisted on 1 Jun 1942, aged 19 yrs old at 114 AGH Goulburn as a nursing orderly. In March 1943 she undertook 3 weeks training at the AAWMS training school at Ingleburn before returning to 114 AGH Goulburn. On 30 Aug 1943 she was transferred to 112 Mil Hosp Brisbane (Greenslopes) . Ina married Leslie Harold Howard Quayle on 22 Dec 1943 in Goulburn. Leslie was serving with 146 Aust Gen Transport Coy, based in Watsonia, Melbourne at the time they were married. Ina was discharged for compassionate reasons on 2 Aug 1944 while Leslie served until March 1945 and they settled in inner city Sydney.
