Highlights: Phylis was born on 11 Jan 1921 on Goulburn, but her parents lived at ‘Trinity Hill’ Crookwell. She enlisted on 1 May 1943 and after basic and nursing orderly training at Ingleburn, she was posted to 105 Australian General Hospital in Adelaide, before going to 101 Aust General Hospital in Katherine, Northern Territory. She remained with this unit when it was moved to Sydney and was discharged on 20 Nov 1946. Phyllis married Patrick William Woods in Goulburn in 1951. Patrick was born in Crookwell and lived at Cotta Walla prior to his Army service.
