Highlights: Sylvia was the wife of N242949 SGT Archibald Davis Cady, of Appletree Forest, Crookwell. They had been married in August 1941, just prior to Archibald’s enlistment on 1 Oct 1941. Sylvia enlisted on 9 Feb 1943 aged 24 years old, and undertook initial training at Ingleburn. Posted to 4 AWAS Coy then returned to Ingleburn 14 Feb 1944 as Acting Sergeant and was a specialist Drill Instructor. She discharged on 4 Aug 1944. Sylvia was able to enlist as a married woman and had enlisted while her husband was serving in New Guinea.
